NEW PARKING INCENTIVES FOR CARPOOLS & VANPOOLS!!
We are excited to announce a new parking incentive offered through a partnership between CATA's Clean Commute Options Program, the Greater Lansing Go Green Initiative, and the City of Lansing! Beginning soon, free vanpool parking, and discounted carpool parking in downtown Lanisng will be available to all those carpools and vanpools that have registered with the Clean Commute Options Program!
In order to qualify, all individuals and their carpools/vanpools need to register with CATA's Clean Commute Options Program at www.cata.org. Registered vanpools (MichiVan's white commuter vans) will be able to park for free at all 10 hour metered locations in downtown Lansing. Carpools will receive discounted parking at all city-owned parking ramps and gated surface lots, and will be able to receive the discounted parking with an unique personalized card, as soon as they are in a confirmed carpool.
The discounted cards for carpools will be available through Lansing's Parking Department. To receive this card, all clean commuters must fill out a form which can be accessed at this link. Each member of a pool will need to complete a form and submit the forms as a group to the Clean Commute Options Office ATTN: Cathleen Edgerly.
This incentive is just another benefit of choosing a clean commute alternative, and we are happy to finally be able to offer this benefit to all of you! All carpoolers can begin completing their forms for the parking cards now. All vanpool contacts will be notified via email as soon as the free parking goes into effect.
