Mid-Michigan's Biggest, Best Fireworks Display!

The City of Lansing Independence Day celebration includes the Freedom Walk and Parade in the morning, followed by the Lansing Concert Band and mid-Michigan's biggest, best fireworks display at night! Bring the family to downtown Lansing for another fun and memorable Fourth of July celebration! The festivities begin with the Freedom Walk at 9:30am starting at the corner of Pine and Allegan in downtown Lansing. The Fourth of July Parade steps off at 11am from the state parking lots on Allegan West of the State Capitol Building. The Freedom Walk and Parade route travels East on Allegan to Capitol Avenue, North on Capitol to Ottawa, then West on Ottawa back to the state parking lots. At 8pm don't miss the Lansing Concert Band playing patriotic favorites at Riverfront Park. There will be lots of fun activities for kids as well. After the concert, stick around for mid-Michigan's biggest and best fireworks display, starting at approximately 10:15pm. Riverfront Park is a great place to catch the show, but there are terrific views from locations throughout the downtown area. Bring the whole family and enjoy the City's annual Independence Day Celebration! It's a good time to have a great time in downtown Lansing!
