Press Release: Sign Up for LifeGuarding Class - Prepare for a Summer Job
Press Release - For immediate release SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFEGUARDING CLASS Prepare Now For A Summer Job! Lansing Parks and Recreation is offering a life-guarding course this winter on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, March 17 - April 30 (no class 4/6-4/10) at Foster Community Center and the Gardner Middle School Pool. Prerequisites for the class are: - minimum age 15 - swim 300 yards continuously (front crawl and breast stroke) - swim, dive and retrieve a 10 pound brick in 7-10 feet of water For youth ages 15-17, the course fee is $100 for Lansing residents and $105 for non-residents. For adult residents the fee is $100 and for adult non-residents the fee is $150. Fee does not include your textbook or pocket mask which is approximately $48 at the American Red Cross.
